I will at least give it a try. These stuffs sound good especially during 'certain days'.
Following the sequence, I would start with Politics.
Give SC, ST youths more space in politics: Rahul
'He added that the entire country is virtually divided between the rich and poor.'
Will somebody tell me what is so new or conclusive about this observation. C'mon, I expected something better from an M.Phil in Development Economics from Trinity College in Cambridge. Hey, a 5th grade kid from any Indian village would have known this before Mr. Gandhi came to know about it! I really do not understand how does he speak about including the SC and ST youths in politics etc. I haven't yet heard of him doing anything other than promoting himself as the nation's youth icon.
Next comes, Economy
83% investors feel economy will recover in next fiscal: Fitch
Now I know why it is said that stock markets are driven by investors' sentiments!
MBA jobs
HBS Start-Up Profile: Job Hunting in a Crisis
How Revealing Your Preferences Can Actually get you the Offer
'Skydeck360 (a play on the HBS skydeck row) offers a way for students to signal their preferences to employers and improve their odds of landing the job they want.'
This particular tool is created to allow the students to signal their preferences to the companies of their choice. It is a win-win for both the employer and the students. But even though the tool looks good and would probably give desired results but it is only a smooth facilitator to bring together the close fitting employers and the job seekers but the rules of the game still remain the same.
Movies
Wake Up Sid
A good movie to watch. Its a feel good movie, especially the climax. But Aisha (Konkana Sen Sharma) was a disappointment as it had too much resemblance with her character in Luck by Chance. Liked her evening wears. They were so true to her character. There was a close link between what she wore as a daytime and an evening wear. Good job!
Cricket
'The Champions Trophy, on balance, has shown that it has a future, as does the format itself. It has reminded us that ODIs, essentially, can still be a format in which many things pleasing and surprising may happen.'
I for one truly agree that the 50 over ODI has not lost its charm and is still the best test of the cricketing skills. The finish has been good and the deserving ones won. The rise of not so popular names like New Zealand and England are good signs for the international cricket. There are lessons to be learnt for the 'others'.
I think thats enough for today. Got to take a shower now..class at 10:25 am .
